Freddy is inspired by the pure spirit of children in creating his primitive-native artwork. He tries to capture the unlimited freedom of mind and soul into his paintings by expressing himself in bold and bright colors. Obvious purity and naivety are the messages he wants to convey. Looking at his paintings, is like being taken on a journey to a different world; where human beings’ judgments are not needed to clarify the significance of life.

The world to him is like a huge blank canvas where he can pour down his mind and soul freely without the necessity of manipulating the hidden meanings of life. Lessons and experiences in life only enrich his vision of human existence. Discovering the perfect balance between spontaneity and creativity, Freddy puts the right combination of simplicity and imagination toward life’s appreciation into his paintings. He has also the chance to experiment and lets his thoughts run wild by painting on ceramic at Jenggala.

Freddy said, “In painting, I am really looking inside myself. I believe my paintings tell their own story and everyone is free to enjoy them with their unique imagination and experience. My inspiration comes from my own life experiences and I describe my work as a positive contribution to humanity.”

His exhibition at Jenggala Gallery is the celebration of life and freedom of expression.
