Brent
Hesselyn - a pioneer, artist and patriot of the
arts. Brent lived in Bali from 1979. A man of many
talents. he saw the world through inspired eyes.
His photography is an early mark of his love of
Bali, its people and culture.
In
his early days in Bali, Brent created a library
of photographs which are a unique representation
of the island in the 1970's. they reflect his amazing
enthusiasm, curiosity and appreciation for the then
almost undisturbed ancient Balinese culture. His
photographs pay great attention to detail. They
have special warmth, empathy and humour, as well
as a unique photographers talent for clarity and
poignancy.
